Event calendar for the 2008 season

Heroes wanted! – In keeping with the LEGOLAND® Deutschland motto, this year’s event calendar is once again dedicated to real heroes. From May to November, the events at the park allow everyone to slip into a dream role and become a pilot, professional footballer or spook. Furthermore, two exciting new shows await LEGOLAND fans of all ages in the 2008 season: in the LEGO® Arena, visitors can look forward to interactive experiments in “INCREDIBLE – The bumper show packed full of amazing surprises”. In “Sam Sinister and the secret of the magic light” in the Puppet Theatre, the new LEGOLAND hero Sam Sinister takes the audience on a magical journey to ancient Egypt.

31st May: Bayern 3 - Family Day

Music fans wanted! – Everyone knows what they sound like, but what faces go with the voices of the popular Bayern 3 - presenters? All visitors can find out the answer at the Bayern 3 - Family Day at LEGOLAND on 31st May. There will be a fun-packed programme with the team from Bayern 3 at the Family Day: fantastic live shows on the stages, with a whole host of interactive games and workshops to take part in. The Bayern 3 - children’s reporters will be roaming the park all day long, providing visitors with exciting back-stage reports. The absolute highlights of the Bayern 3 - Family Day are the ultimate party with the Bayern 3 - Band and a concert put on by the popular newcomer band beFour. Manou, Alina, Dan and Angel are already looking forward to getting the whole park rocking.
However, the Bayern 3 - Family Day would not be complete without doing something for a good cause. On 31st May, LEGOLAND will be donating 1 euro to the hospital clowns from Clown Projekt e.V. for every ticket sold. These clowns regularly visit the children’s wards of hospitals to give the young patients something to laugh about. They will of course be present at the park for the Bayern 3 - Family Day, providing fun and entertainment.

14th – 29th June: Football action with the SalzburgerLand

Footballers wanted! – It is not just at EURO 2008 in Austria and Switzerland that everything is centred on football. There will also be plenty of football magic for fans at LEGOLAND from 14th June onwards. The football events are being presented by the SalzburgerLand with an authentic Alpine hut, a climbing wall from Family SalzburgerLand, Alpine baking from the Lammertal Dachstein-West holiday region and a fantastic programme of football-related workshops. There are also family holidays to the SalzburgerLand to be won.
Kick-off is 14th June. Katrin Matshushita and Christian Szüle, the world table football champions, will be demonstrating their skills and tricks to enthusiastic spectators. Visitors can then put into practice what they have learnt from the experts with a quick game of their own or cheer on the teams in the major family table football tournament. This football highlight is being presented by the Donau 3FM radio station.
“LEGOLAND in search of the champion penalty shooter” is the name of the game from 15th June onwards. This is when the whistle blows to start the ultimate LEGOLAND penalty shootout. All visitors have a one-off chance until 29th June to win their weight in LEGO bricks. This will show who has the makings of a real penalty shooter. At the invitation of the SalzburgerLand and LEGOLAND, JACEK, football acrobatics champion and holder of several world records, will be attempting to set a new world record: he aims to head the ball 300 times in 60 seconds. JACEK is happy to explain to football fans of all ages how to practise his spectacular acrobatic tricks with the ball at home.
